lfc_getgrpbynam: Get virtual gid associated with a given group name

DESCRIPTION

lfc_getgrpbynam gets the virtual gid associated with a given group name.

groupname: specifies the group name. It must be at most 255 characters long.
gid: specifies the address of a buffer to receive the Virtual Group Id.

RETURN VALUE

This routine returns 0 if the operation was successful or -1 if the operation failed. In the latter case, serrno is set appropriately.

ERRORS

EFAULT: groupname or gid is a NULL pointer.
EINVAL: This group name does not exist in the internal mapping table or the length of groupname exceeds 255.
SENOSHOST: Host unknown.
SENOSSERV: Service unknown.
SECOMERR: Communication error.
ENSNACT: Name server is not running or is being shutdown.
